La Camelia Booking Conditions
1. Payment
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance at least 8 weeks before departure (if the booking is made in the year preceding your holiday the payment schedule is 10% on booking, 40%
on January 1st and 50% at least 8 weeks before your departure). Bookings can only be confirmed upon receipt of a signed Booking Form specifying rental period, initial deposit, and signed terms and conditions. No contract with
us exists until we have confirmed your booking. Payments will be made by bank transfers and clients are responsible for any bank charges incurred. It is understood that this contract satisfies transitory housing needs only and
that the contract automatically expires at the end of the rental period as stated in the Booking Form.
2. Cancellation
If you cancel all or part of your booking, for whatever reason, or we cancel the booking due
to non-payment, then we are entitled to the following percentage of the holiday weeks cancelled:
8 weeks or more before your holiday
Deposit paid (or pro-rata percentage thereof for part cancellation) 8 weeks or less before your holiday 100% (or pro-rata percentage thereof for part cancellation)
Wherever possible we will attempt to re-book your holiday and refund any monies paid less 20% administrative costs. If we are unable to re-book your holiday this clause will be rigorously applied.
3. Number of people
Unless previously agreed in writing, your party must not exceed 12 including children.
5. Security Deposit
A security Deposit of 800 euros must be paid on arrival in cash (if preferred this can be added to
your final payment). This deposit, minus any charges, will be re-paid within one week of your departure. You agree to pay additional charges should damages or costs exceed the amount of the security deposit. Additional expenses
may be incurred as follows;
•Pool heating/house heating/telephone
6. Cleaning and Linen
Cleaning will be carried out prior to your arrival and during your stay.
House linen is provided and changed weekly. If linen has to be changed more regularly we reserve the right to make additional charges. Maid service of 9 hours per week is included in the price. There will be a charge of 50 euros towards the final cleaning, although we reserve the right to increase this subject to the condition in which the house has been left.
7. Insurance
You are strongly advised to take out an insurance travel policy for holiday cancellation, as referred to in clause 2 above;
for medical cover; and loss of personal goods (e.g. burglary, fire etc.), since you will not be covered by the villa policy.
8. Pool and House heating
Pool heating and house heating will be charged on the basis
of gas consumed. There is no mark up on the supply companies' tariffs. The pool will be open from the 1st. May to 30th.September and outside of this period subject to agreement and weather conditions.
9.Garden and ground maintenance
The grounds need regular maintenance. All efforts will be made to keep the disturbance to guests to a minimum. 10.Cancellation by us
If for any reason, beyond our
control, we have to cancel the client's booking we will refund the amount paid to us for the property. You will be liable for any cancellation charges for travel.
11. Animals
No animals can be brought onto the properties without prior permission from the owner.
12. Complaints
Descriptions in the Property Listing are made in good faith and verified by us. We cannot be held
accountable for failure of utilities or other essential services. We will, through our local professionals, do our utmost to solve any problems. Should problems arise inform the house owner or her representative immediately.
Inconveniences do not entitle you to a refund. Complaints lodged at the end of the rental period will not be taken into consideration.
13. Consumables
Basic consumables, e.g. soap, toilet paper etc., are supplied
when you arrive. However your holiday is self-catering and you are responsible for supplying, but not limited to, bathroom soaps, dishwasher soap, washing machine soap, toilet paper and other consumables during your stay.
14. Liability
The property owner is not liable for damages. You and your party will not hold them responsible for any damages incurred during your stay on the property. This includes but is not limited to injuries,
fire or water damage, and theft. The owner is liable for consequential damages.
15. Disputes
Any disputes arising from these conditions will be heard in the courts of Lucca and Italian law will prevail.
